Blog Bio

Between the busy aspects of life, when do you have time to dream?  To dream of how big the world is and all the different places, cultures, and people.  The world is HUGE and we are just a tiny piece of it.  Well, we don’t want to know a spec of the world anymore, we want to experience it all.  And what’s the best way to learn more about the world than to travel it right?  Going to the deserts filled with cactuses, the snow topped mountains, and fly across all of the blue oceans, the possibilities are endless.  How do you find the best places to go?  Find affordable flights?  Pack efficiently?  Of course, there are many ways to accomplish things but our passion is to find places that we find interesting and share our experiences.  Traveling will shape us into more open minded individuals and we hope you’ll join us for the journey.  Through this blog we’ll illustrate our hopes and dreams for the future and for travel.
I’m Lauren, a student, and a dreamer.  Chasing dreams of making 2,000 miles feel like an hour joy ride.  Everyone has their quirky things they do and mine so happens to be that  I enjoy taking pictures of silly things that I can look at later, playing with sticky little kids, and keeping up with my terrible shopping addiction.  I am the girl trucking through the long terminals with an overly large purse and the vision of my destination in mind.  Boarding gates, passports, and iPhones, the thrill of walking into an airplane will never get old for me.  Walking through cobble streets of the unknown, exploring foreign buildings, and experimenting with slimy-gross looking food is just one of the many reasons to travel.  You don’t have to spend tons of money on traveling, the Travel Channel will do just fine.  Anthony Bourdain and Andrew Zimmerman have become my top watched channel’s...those guys are hilarious--must watch.  The things these men do are crazy, from eating cow testicles to riding down a dirt road in a beat up caravan, their adventurous never end.  That’s what I love, neverending adventure.   http://www.travelchannel.com/tv-shows/anthony-bourdain
Hi aspiring travelers, I’m Jessica.  As a high school senior I’m looking towards my future and considering what I might want my life to be like.  And I hope traveling will be apart of that.  As of right now I live in a small town nestled up to the shores of Lake Michigan.  Although I love the charm, relaxed, quiet place I live in, I long to explore the world and see everything that I can possibly see outside of the “mitten”.  I’m a constant daydreamer and thinker, I can be incredibly clumsy, and I’m full of freckles and smiles.  Those are a few things you may or may not want to know about me. Oh and I’m a morning person.  There’s not enough time in the day to do everything if you sleep until eleven . . . especially when traveling.  There are too many opportunities to try new things and learn from the cultures to sleep through it all.   But I’m not talking about the typical vacation destinations dominated by tourist shops and condominiums.  I like the adventurous places, more of the unknown, undiscovered (maybe trekking the desert on camels, exploring caves in Asia, or even just trying exotic foods in South America) spots where the culture of the people is pure and not manipulated by the travel agencies and realtors.  Whether it’s a plane, train, or automobile, I’m dreaming of seizing the day and exploring all that the world has to offer.

Just two best friends trying to see everything the world has to offer.
